The OWHC's Board of Directors 2005-2007

 

Composition and powers of the Board of Directors

 

The Board of Directors is made up of eight mayors. It is elected by the General Assembly and meets at least once a year. The esatutes of the OWHC stipulates the composition and powers of the Board of Directors of the Organization.

The members of the Board of Directors of the OWHC 2005-2007 are:

    In accordance with the Statutes, Denis Ricard, Secretary General of the OWHC, attends meetings of the Board of Directors as Special Advisor without the right to vote.
     

    Calendar and minutes of meetings of the Board of Directors


         • The first meeting of the Board of Directors following the Founding General Assembly was held in Qosgo, (Peru), on 1994.
    • The second meeting took place in Santiago de Compostela, (Spain) on November, 1994.
    • The third meeting was held in Bergen, (Norway) on June, 1995, in conjunction with the Second General Assembly and the Third International Symposium of World Heritage Cities.
    • The fourth meeting of the Board of Directors was held in May 1996 in Valletta, (Malta).
    • The sixth meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Tunis(Tunisia).
    • The sixth meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Évora (Portugal) in september, 1997.
    • The seventh meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Salvador de Bahía (Brazil) in March 1998.
    • The eighth meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Luxembrug (Luxembourg) in March 1999.
    • The nineth meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Santiago de Compostela (Spain).
    • The tenth meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Safranbolu (Turkey) in September 2000.
    • The eleventh meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Québec (Canada) in April 2001.
    • The 12th meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Puebla (Mexico) in October 2001.
    • The 13th meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Zamosc (Poland) in May 2002.
    • The 14th meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Olinda (Brezil) in December 2002.
    • The 15th meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Toledo (Spain) in April 2003.
    • The 16th meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Rhodes(Greece) in September 2003, in conjunction with the 7th International Symposium of World Heritage Cities

    • The 17th meeting of the Board of Directors was held in Córdoba (Spain)  in February 2004.
    • The 18th meeting of the Board of Directors was held in     Évora (Portugal) in December 2004.
    • The 19th meeting of the Board of Directors was held in     Kazán (Federation Rusa) in June 2005    .
